Which caused the weirdness in my eye to be attributed to the stroke. Happily it wasn't, and there's a fairly simple fix: there's a laser they use to clean it up and clear your vision. Which, at the last moment, as I was sitting solidly in place, having a nurse say "Sorry, my hands are cold" and put both on the back of my head.
Speaking of lost opportunities, I thought of saying "Not the usual reason I want a woman holding my head", but I didn't.
Couple of minutes later it was done.
Vision came back to normal in that eye. But there are some tiny bits of the film that float around at times, just right to make you think a fly or something is buzzing around over there. Which is distracting, but beats the alternative.

Good news!
Are they any more annoying than the usual floaties?

I occasionally rode with my elderly neighbor, going to get wood for one of his projects, etc.. I never noticed anything alarming about his driving, he did pull out in traffic a bit Close to that line, the Shoulda waited for a bigger gap line,,YaKnow? Anyway, one day he's tellin me how great it is to be able to see the telephone poles by the road again. I can't believe he, and everyone else, survived his declining sight.
Congratulations on getting your eyes working better. It is amazing what they can do. And that technology has been around a long time.
When an assistant braced my head from behind for a quick bit of laser eye work, I quipped "I guess this is the BDSM part?"
Doc and asst had to pause to stop laughing. I promised to be quiet after that.
Pity. I once had to tell a very physically attractive nurse with D-cups that she needed to go get the tall Indian doctor to take my pulse because it would give me time for my heart rate to return to normal and my sudden erection to fade. I had, rather obviously, tented my hospital gown when she walked into the room. If I hadn't been married at the time I would have let her take my pulse just for the laughs.
Yes...there are some distinct advantages to living in our modern technological world. 50+ years ago suffering from this would be untreatable.
I'd add having a corrected lenses inserted allowed my vision corrected for distance-meaning no glasses except for close up.
About the same, but very small
