How you know it's past time to start decorating

trees with politicians and bureaucrats:
Starting January 8, 2020, in certain situations residents will have to register their wood stoves with the state of Alaska. For those who already have a wood stove, it is voluntary.
Right up until the make it mandatory.

Woodsmoke pollution in areas like anchorage can reach dangerous levels. This is a heavy handed attempt to control the problem. If your woodstove/fireplace is chocking your neighbor what do you do?

If it's bad enough that the .gov has to do something, that would be "You can only sell stoves here there meet 'x' standards."
