At some point you know someone will pop up with "At least they weren't shot!"

Which makes dying, or being crippled, by knife wounds just so much better.  Or something.

Crimes involving firearms are increasing, but involving knives are through the roof.  Why, you'd think arresting people for having a pocketknife and wanting to de-point your kitchen knives wasn't doing any good!
