A demonstration of effect of 9mm and .45acp on a wild pig

'Insufficient' is a good word.

Wild hogs, especially big ones have an amazing resilience to handgun rounds. I've killed a few, mainly in the woods and swamps of Louisiana, and when you're at halitosis distance, you gotta know where to put the slug.

Draw an X from left eye to right ear, then right eye to left ear. Center-punch that X and they'll fold up like a cheap pocket knife. Any caliber will do. The biggest I ever killed was 350+ on the hoof (He maxed out a 350 scale) and he succumbed to one well-placed .22LR. Works every time.

DO I recommend the .22LR for large hogs? No, but it's what I had and I knew the spot. He wasn't my first rodeo.
