"Privacy? Law? Shut up and let us copy that, or else!"

A Southeast Missouri man has sued after being told by a license office that it would make digital copies of documents needed for a permit to carry a concealed weapon. The Missouri Department of Revenue has allegedly been compiling data on Missouri residents seeking concealed carry permits and then forwarding it to a third party with ties to the federal government.
...Oliver says Griffin refused to let DMV employees scan and store some of his documentation — so he was denied his permit.
Isn't that just bloody interesting?   Especially as
...“Missouri law makes it clear that what is going on here is illegal, and serves no legitimate purpose since the county sheriff is solely charged with the duty of determining applicants’ eligibility for endorsement.”
This is likely to get interesting.

How about some lawsuits against the idiot 'teachers' and administrators behind this idiocy? Something like 'intentional harm to a child'?
Once again: 'Zero Tolerance' actually means 'Zero Brains Required for teachers and administrators.

"Just because you were raped you want a gun for protection?  Well, I don't think the numbers say that's a good idea."
Democrat Senator Evie Hudak: you are a vile creature.

What?  The TSA is actually going to deal with its problems?
Naaaaah, I'm just shitting you. Basically, they're going to hire a muppet.
The group that created Smokey Bear and McGruff the Crime Dog has a new potential icon: Stephanie the airport screener.
A $1.3 million ad campaign launched this month teams the Ad Council and the Transportation Security Administration trying to change behavior of passengers who no longer automatically accept post-Sept. 11 airport security procedures.
Maybe they can come up with a jingle:
"Help Steffie tell this tale
Do what we say or go to jail
Get in line, shut up, obey
Dontcha know it's the American way!"

Friend wanted to hit the range today and do a little rifle and load testing.  However, it's mid-30's with a north wind blowing, and since I have a hard time shooting accurately when I'm shivering, that's off for today.  Ah well, there's always more cleaning to do.
