O'Reilly is a dyed in the wool metro new yorker. This type of attitude is typical there. The NY firearms laws are oppressive to the right to carry which only reinforces such attitudes. I lived in downstate new york for quite a while. My move to Texas was one of the best things I've done in my entire life!
Who cares what O'Reilly's opinion is? I actually used to like him until I watched him every day for a few weeks when I was stuck inside healing up from a knee replacement. That's when I began to realize the guy is just another talking head with a grossly oversized, totally unjustified ego who really isn't all that bright. A living legend in his own mind, you might say. I watch Fox news once or twice a week, and that's about all the TV I can take. I do have some DVD's to watch, but no broadcast content. We have a pretty good FM station locally which broadcasts classical music and is almost my sole source of electronic entertainment. They lean a bit to the left, but so far have mangaged to keep it under control.
The "Off Switch" is your friend. Hah, sounds like a good name for a blog.

O'Reilly has always been a "mouthpiece" for the system. He's just a shill without the ability to produce anything of value.
