Ignore all else in this for the moment: THEY WENT

TO THE WRONG DAMNED HOUSE.

No excuse.  NONE.

Now throw in this:

Officers said Lopez came to the door pointing a gun at them. Those officers claim to have asked Lopez multiple times to drop the gun before they started shooting.

But, neighbors said they didn't hear anything like that.

"I didn't hear yelling," neighbor Nicholas Tramel said.
 If this is correct, then the bastards not only went to the wrong address and killed an innocent, they lied in their official reports.

I'm getting really damned sick of reading about cases like this.  And if the department pops up with an "Officer Safety trumps all" excuse, I may puke.
