A "DAO" pistol with a trigger so light it "practically shoots itself"?
I've never shot on of 'them', but I'm reasonably certain that the trigger pull is heavier (eg: 8-12 lbs) than a single-action revolver. Or a single-action 911, for that.
The supposition that these yahoos were exerting pressure on the trigger under conditions where they had not yet determined they HAD to shoot ... is inescapable.
I watched the DVD of a 2009 NCIS story where one of the main characters asked: "Do you ever wonder why when the gun 'just goes off' it never hits the person with the gun?"
Hell, even television script writers know the right questions to ask!
