I am:
The shooting happened at an outdoor social gathering about 12:30 a.m., said police Sgt. Eren Stephens. It happened on the city’s west side.
According to Stephens, the woman “embraced the officer from behind, causing the holstered weapon to accidently discharge.” The bullet punctured Miller’s lung and hit her heart, and she died at a hospital.
Really?
Update: over at Uncle was a link to this story; basically 'soft holster let trigger be pulled'. Which still sounds awful strange.
Also, this story

Somebody is lying about the events; no way it happened as described.
Yup, I had the story open in a tab and was about to break my months-long blogging silence to comment about the fact that the story had my BS alarm ringing like crazy.
You beat me to it, so the silence continues.
I wrote about this. My first thought was "shoulder holster?" followed immediately by "what pistol?"
Until I know the brand/model of the weapon, I agree that a strong odor of BS is wafting off this story.
Seriously: what pistol could allow this to happen? A M1911? a Ruger P85? a Glock? a S&W? It can't be a double-action pistol, right? No way a "hug" could make a DA pistol fire. And surely a revolver is out, as well.
The plot thickens...
Dammit, Curt, if I'd know that I'd have held off!
Would just about have to be a horizontal shoulder holster; even so, every one I've seen covers the trigger guard. And most of those have either a spring or snap-strap to hold the piece in, and on a cocked&locked 1911 it goes around the back of the slide, between it and the hammer.
