Because if this is correct, they've got their head firmly lodged up their ass.
We were disappointed when the Leslie Coleman, PR director for WWP,
said they couldn’t come on the show, but that happens. Schedules don’t
mesh, things happen, but that’s not uncommon. No big deal. Except that
Ms. Coleman said they were declining because we “are related to
firearms.”
“While we appreciate the interest in having a WWP representative on
your show on Veterans Day we are not able to participate in interviews
or activities with media/organizations that are related to firearms,”
said Ms. Coleman in her email.

I first heard of this over a year ago on the Gun Talk radio show, when host Tom Gresham interviewed someone from WWP. I forget when, but the .MP3s of the show should be archived at guntalk.com.
The WWP has been anti-gun and anti-knife for quite a while. They have asked groups in the past to not take donations for Firearm Companies, and the bigger problem with WWP is that only 57% of the money goes to wounded warriors(and they have a a very creative definition for wounded (last I heard was that anyone that deployed, or was in the Military is wounded at some level by WWP rules))
