And- sometimes- when called on their lie, insist "I didn't mean what I said, I meant THIS!"
Yeah, I agree with Robb:
She of course “clarifies” later that she means private sales, but she
didn’t when she said this. She put it up as a way to simply lie and say
there are no background checks (I wish it were true. They’re useless and
an affront to the entire premise of “Innocent Until Proven Guilty”) in
hopes that the dumb will just take that at face value and not dig in any
deeper to the issue.
