Translation: many in the EU have realized they're going to freeze in the dark

in a trashed economy if they stick with the 'green energy' dictates, so...
But now it seems that the climate is no longer of much importance to the European Commission, the EU's executive branch, either. Commission sources have long been hinting that the body intends to move away from ambitious climate protection goals. On Tuesday, the Süddeutsche Zeitung reported as much.

At the request of Commission President José Manuel Barroso, EU member states are no longer to receive specific guidelines for the development ofrenewable energy. The stated aim of increasing the share of green energy across the EU to up to 27 percent will hold. But how seriously countries tackle this project will no longer be regulated within the plan. As of 2020 at the latest -- when the current commitment to further increase the share of green energy expires -- climate protection in the EU will apparently be pursued on a voluntary basis.

I have been informed that when some moron on bookface posts something along the lines of "Republicans/conservatives/anybodyotherthansocialists are fascists, here's why:", I'm supposed to waste time arguing with the clown.

No.

I'd rather do almost anything than waste time with a socialist/communist who has a serious mental blockage on history and a big hate for anyone who won't play along.  Screw 'em.

Ah, that principled opposition to fracking:
A left-wing lobby group in San Francisco wired $55,000 to the bank account of an Indian chief in Northern Alberta, paying him to oppose the oilsands.

And sure enough, that chief – Allan Adam, from the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation – earned his money. Last weekend, he flew to Toronto to sit on a stage next to Neil Young, the folk singer who was in town to demonize Canada’s oil industry.
Wonder if the tribe got any, or if Chief Dirtbag kept it all for himself?

When even the BBC is admitting solar activity is way down and it affects our climate...

Unfortunately I have no real shooty-goodness to write about.  Big problem is the hanging-on of effects from the whateverthehellitwas followed by the sinus infection: I get out in the cool/chilly wind(let alone when actually cold) and I start coughing.  A lot and painfully.  So even in coats and such no trips to the outdoor range right now, and the indoor just depends on the day.
