Back in junior high I had an idea for a joystick-steering car;
but it didn't look like this and it still had foot pedals for gas & brakes.
Mercedes SCL600 concept car. My, how things are changing.

Quarry loading shovels have had joystick controls for a few years. The claims for repetitive strain injury (wanker's cramp) were starting in the late 90s.
