She says "I and my Veep candidate own guns, so obviously we won't confiscate yours!"
Well, bullshit.
She gives a variation on what I call the Fatal Words, which is when a politician says "I'm a gun owner myself, BUT.." Which means yes, they want to make it as difficult and expensive as possible for people- at least the commoners- to buy and own them. And she's talking a lot now about "I'm not for
And we can't forget this wonderful statement which moves to how much she cares about the 4th Amendment:
...Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of YOUR LOCKED HOME doesn't mean we're not going to walk in and check that you're being responsible and safe in the way you conduct your affairs...
Let's move on to her truancy program, which included
Like her truancy program, for instance, where she had state prosecutors go after parents of kids who missed more than ten percent of their school time. That sounds like a tough plan. Until you hear that they spent two years prosecuting a woman whose child was in the hospital for sickle-cell anemia who had voluminous documentation proving it, but they kept at her. Harris and her team needed the statistic for a win.
And now this is from the NYeffingTimes, not exactly a right-wing mouthpiece:
...Time after time, when progressives urged her to embrace criminal justice reforms as a district attorney and then the state’s attorney general, Ms. Harris opposed them or stayed silent. Most troubling, Ms. Harris fought tooth and nail to uphold wrongful convictions that had been secured through official misconduct that included evidence tampering, false testimony and the suppression of crucial information by prosecutors.
Consider her record as San Francisco’s district attorney from 2004 to 2011. Ms. Harris was criticized in 2010 for withholding information about a police laboratory technician who had been accused of “intentionally sabotaging” her work and stealing drugs from the lab. After a memo surfaced showing that Ms. Harris’s deputies knew about the technician’s wrongdoing and recent conviction, but failed to alert defense lawyers, ...a judge condemned Ms. Harris’s indifference to the systemic violation of the defendants’ constitutional rights.
I can't post a readable link to the whole piece, because paywall, if I see a way around that I'll add it here.

moral compass of the left is a windsock
And hers is turned wrongside out, from the suction
You'd think a state's attorney general would understand the warrant requirements to enter someone's home. Apparently she didn't really graduate from law school ... else her crim law and con law classes would have educated her.
You assume she's "educate-able".
You missed the worst: when her staff went to court and argued for delaying the release of prisoners who had served their time because California needed the slave labor. Now, Harris claims she did not send them or know what they were doing. That is, she confessed to incompetence at hiring and managing even the small staff of a state AG, but she wants to manage the federal government!
