Riding mower at lodge. Had died when starting to mow, got back to it a couple of days later, cleaned the carb(found nothing), fiddled with things, put it all back together and ran perfectly. Don't know if something was plugged, or it was just being cranky.
Intermittent contact in some part of the electrical system. Probably the hardest thing to diagnose. Especially if it is in all the "safety cut-off circuitry" they put in mowers today. (Seat switch, etc.)
