Co-worker picked up an old Savage 340 series in .22 Hornet and has been messing with it. With very good results.
As of now it's as he found it. The barrel does touch the stock in the area where the barrel band goes(made to do so from the look of it). Digging around, a lot of people bed the front of the receiver and the barrel in that area, but that's it.
