Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has made yet another shocking and
historically ignorant claim: That thinking about the Holocaust gives her
a "calming feeling" because her Palestinian ancestors provided a "safe haven" for Jewish victims of the tragedy.
You have to read this to get the full flavor of the stupid and/or dishonesty of this. It's downright amazing.
And then we have that other champion of the Democrats, Calypso Louie:
As he ascended the platform at St. Sabina's last week, Farrakhan railed against "Satanic Jews" and referenced the sorting of Jewish prisoners at Auschwitz into lines destined for Nazi work camps and those destined for gas chambers. Farrakhan claimed that he was imbued with the divine right to label some Jews "good" and some bad.
"I stand on God's word," Farrakhan told the crowd, according to Haaretz, adding that he knows "the truth" and that his mission is to "separate the good Jews from the Satanic Jews."
Etc.
And anybody involved claiming to be surprised by this is either a liar or an idiot. Snuffy Pfleger is a lying, bigoted bastard. If the head of that diocese had any balls or integrity, Snuffy would be gone. But he doesn't, Cardinal Cupich, being heavily involved in social justice issues himself.

To echo John F. Kennedy, the safe haven of the grave?
There hasn't been a Wilson in the Military for more than a generation and look at the mess the world is in. I'm too old and the boy's too young.
And I hope he doesn't have to serve, but that seems to be more of a vain hope every year.
