"Why do liberals dislike poor blacks
and want them helpless?" Because it's much harder to command people who don't depend on you to try to protect them. And because so many leftists have such a low opinion of blacks.
This has always been true. The first attempts at gun bans focused on the non-existent "Saturday Night Special". That term is a shortened version of a racist term meant to imply that any gun a poor black can afford is dangerous. All firearms must pass proof testing before they can be sold. There's no such thing as a "Saturday Night Special".
