So the dirtbag didn't have armor
after all: Chief Executive Officer Chad Weinman said despite its name, the urban assault vest is not bulletproof, but is simply a vest made for carrying accessories. So all he had was a load-bearing vest.
Actually, it only means that he didn't get it from TacticalGear.com, not that he didn't have armor.
This image shows what is undoubtedly a ballistic vest (or armor plate carrier) that is supposedly his. You can also see what might be the load-bearing vest they’re talking about to the left.
The report that he had armour supposedly came from the police press conference, so I think it’s pretty reliable, though they didn't specify any level of protection.
