It was hardly James Bond quiet with a Parker Hale silencer(quite a sonic crack from standard vel) but comfortable enough for indoor practice without ear protectors.
I used to catch myself holding the silencer tube, which gave a very stable hold. I was looking at the posibility of putting a forsight out on the end of the silencer for a longer sight radius.
That's a long time ago now. The guy who owned the range (Via Gellia Mills, near Cromford in Derbyshire) lost his business without compensation in the '98 gun ban, and took his own life.
