However, I'll note that there is a BIG difference between genuine respect for RTKABA inherent in the citizen, versus mere desire on the part of the ruling class to grant the privilege of being armed at the state's whim and for the state's purposes.
Ed: There aren't many survivors of that war left. There should be quite a few that remember "Daddy never came home from Finland", or "Grandpa was twitchy and scared of everything after serving", but even those are getting old.
