Is it a musket or a rifle? The article calls it both, and says it's a Revolutionary War replica under the cruft. The minie ball and "rifled musket" weren't invented until half a century later.
I hope the barrel _is_ rifled, because they cut it to 16 inches long. Or are newly-built smoothbores not covered by the 18" rule if they're sufficiently backwards in technology?
Imagine the horror of the gun-grabbing, "The Second Amendment only applies to muskets" crowd. That is, IF they knew (or cared) what the f*** they were talking about.

It’s black powder…none of that ‘68 GCA BS applies. If your state is okay with it, the fed doesn’t care.
My only concern is how butt ugly it is.
