When Iceberg A68 calved off from Antarctica’s Larsen C Ice Shelf in July 2017, it exposed an entire underwater ecosystem that had been covered by the Delaware-sized chunk of ice for 120,000 years.
Now, a team of scientists is set to travel to the remote Larsen C Ice Shelf in order to explore the 2,246 mysterious square miles that the trillion-ton iceberg left in its wake.
