What people don't understand is that it's not a struggle between the cartels & the Mexican Government - It's a struggle of cartels & the Mexican Government officials they own against other cartels & the Mexican Gov. officials they own. It's an utterly corrupt narco-banana republic from top to bottom.
I still don't understand the fascination with going to Mexico when Belize is *right there* also, without all the narco-state stuff (well... yet, anyway ;-) and is an English-speaking nation to boot.

For beaches and such, oh yeah. I was thinking of some of the ancient cities that have been found in the jungles, and the cenotes
