A range day was had

yesterday, but I'm not going to go over all the details.  It was hot, and humid, and the wind varied from none to very light.  Which made the jug of ice tea a very good thing.

Will note something on one load: one of those I've been messing with for .45-70 is the Lyman 525-grain* Postell bullet over smokeless and black.  I've been using it with the bullet seated far enough to completely cover all the lube grooves, just far enough to crimp(very lightly for black) on the front driving band.  Well, I'd put together five with that first(last?) lube groove exposed, crimped on the second band, over 65.0 of 2f.

It shot quite well.  That I'm going to be trying again.
