Know those Swiss machinegun cleaning kits?

Used to be common?  I have a couple, and had an idea: since they use a metric thread, make an adapter so I can use standard brushes and jags with it.

Recently son helped me find a tailstock chuck for that old Sears lathe, so used a piece of 1/4" brass rod to make these
Metric thread to fit the rod, 8x32 for the jags and brushes.  And a lot easier to make with the lathe.

I like it.

I'm guessing that you used taps for the threads, as I can't imagine turning 8x32 threads on anything other than a watchmakers lathe.

I also have an old sears lathe that I use for things like this.

Tap, correct. The metric I'll have to go look at, bought it when found out what the thread on the rod is.
