Amazingly, the worst injury was from the AR, couple of bruises and some scratches.

That forty-four is no more! Probably blasted the back strap into orbit as well.
One range near me has recently specified that people shoot either factory ammo or ammo they have loaded themselves, not any gun show special formula stuff after having some similar mishaps. That makes sense to me and I reload carefully with no distractions.
