When dealing with Sportsmans Guide ALWAYS place the order over the phone and verify that the item is actually in stock (not on order, not on its way to them, not being unloaded as you speak- literally in stock in the warehouse) before you order it.
They have admitted to me that they ROUTINELY advertise things as "in stock" when they have none at all. As long as they think they will get them soon enough to keep you from complaining too loudly, they list it as "in stock".
In my case, it took over three months before I gave up and canceled the order for something that the web site said was in stock.
