Congratulations, progressives: here's what you've managed to create:

“The majority of the class felt that they would rather be a slave than to be a factory worker. And she was just extremely confused by that, knowing what slaves went through, she couldn’t understand why anyone would choose that,” James said. “The rationale by those students to choose slaves was that they had free housing, they had free food and they had free protection..."
You've done it.  Created a bunch of slave-minded kids who'll grow up willing to be slaves if you give them enough 'free' stuff.

I think I'll go throw up now.

There's more to it. If you're a slave, you're a victim. You get to cloak yourself in the mantle of victimhood and pretend to a sort of moral superiority. If you're just a factory worker, you're just one of the undifferentiated masses who was so stupid that he couldn't get a decent job after getting into a decent college.

Being born a slave is "bad luck." Becoming a factory worker is "poor life choices coupled with stupidity."

Keep in mind that these same students would argue that it is vital to free the slaves (assuming they could find some) and to prevent the stupid factory workers from getting any say in their government. Obviously someone who's stupid enough that he can't get a better job than factory worker is too stupid to be allowed a vote.
