Though it looks like a sabot tank round, it isn't a sabot round. Now if the brass part was made of plastic and fell away, sending the .30 cal bullet down range, then it would be like a 120mm APDS round.
As it is, it's not a very aerodynamic shape.
It seems the days of tacticool ammo aren't over.
It would be better just to mill some Minie-ball type slugs from brass or bronze, as it would be a better aerodynamic shape.
