And the Democrats next move will be to try to ban

or license 3-D printers
And ban or license the software.

Know someone who bitched "You're always saying 'Democrats'!  That's divisive!'"
"So tell me, who is it primarily that keeps wanting to ban or license guns?"
Silence.

I liked this best about the 3D printing:

"Already, he says, over 10,000 people have downloaded the lower CAD file, and more have downloaded it through BitTorrent."

More weapons experts every day, and that's a VERY good thing.

Two things about this:

1. It's the lower receiver of an AR-15 type weapon. It bears much less stress than the upper. It's also the part that's normally made from stamped metal, no precision machining required.

2. Did you notice what ammo they were firing? FN 5.7mm. It's not a rifle round, it's not even a proper self-defense pistol round, it's a submachine gun round. That is, it penetrates enough to stop the bad guy if you shoot him 20 times or so, but one hit will only make him angry.

So, all in all, this is only slightly more impressive than a home-made .22LR pistol.
