Today, Oklahoma joins the Open Carry states*

Personally, I'd not do it often; but it's nice having the option.

*Yeah, I know, technically it happened when the Governor signed the bill; but today's the first official legal day, so.

Lucky bastids; do you still have to have a license of one sort or another, or is it "Vermont style"?

Not Vermont style, alas, we're not there.
Yet.

One of the nice things, on private property specifically states can open-carry without a permit.

Maybe it's just Texas (and other REAL common-sense states), but I thought any carry was allowed if it was on your own property.
