You want to know what a sales man Obama is?

At the Berry's Bullets site:
DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND WE ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE ANY MORE ORDERS FOR BULLETS UNTIL WE CATCH UP. WE ARE WORKING 24/7 TO CLEAR OUT THE CURRENT ORDERS AND AS SOON AS WE HAVE CAPACITY WE WILL MAKE THEM AVAILABLE ON THE WEB.

Over at X-Treme:
Important Notice:

TEMPORARY PAUSE to Catch Up on Shipping:
Due to the extremely high volume of orders -- we have temporarily “turned off” all of our Products so our Shipping Dept. can catch up.

We are working diligently to process and fill all orders in a timely manner – please be patient.

If you have already ordered and have an Order Number -- you will receive your order - please be patient.

Please go to the Product page of the item you want to order and click on the ”>> Email me when Back-In-Stock” link to be notified when that product is available to order again.

Thank you for your business and your patience!
Remember, this isn't ammo, it's bullets for handloading; and they're this far behind.

The CMP store is back ordered for many flavors of ammo too.
Although it does still have some in a few calibers and is setting limits.

True.

On the other hand, I think the reason there is also that they had basically zero excess capacity to tap when demand spiked.

What's impressive to me is that the demand for AR-15 lowers is still keeping prices up, despite - as I must assume - everyone in the country who can make one making them as fast as they can to fill demand.

I'm sure there was excess capacity there, and it wasn't remotely enough.
