The quote of the day is from Marty ref pirates:

When minutes count, the world's navy's are just hours away.

I cannot for the life of me understand why every freighter and tanker in the world is not equipped with at least four mounted .30 machine guns. A few battle rifles such as FAL's or G3's and some RPG's would be a minimum. Perhaps if two or three pirate crews were never seen or heard from again the Somali pirates would do some serious risk assessment. These attacks are occuring over 100 miles at sea, if the Captain of ship that had been attacked simply threw all the pirates overboard, destroyed any useable equipment aboard the pirate vessel, then set the hulk adrift to be found later, word would get around.
