Opinions large and small, worth everything you pay for them.
I thought I'd never have to live the 'Carter years' over again. I was wrong. Now it's the 'Carter years' _times_ _2_! McCain would have been bad enough, but I knew if Obama got elected we would be screwed. And now everyday the news of the damage being done to our Country is just more and more beyond belief.
Lightbringer? In another language that would be "Lucifer"lolK
We would do well to be openly paranoid about a repeat of the Soviet experience: Afghanistan has been breaking occupying armies for more than twenty centuries. They are good at it. The day the top leadership stops talking about this is the day we get our asses handed to us.

@Daniel Newby: If your characterization of the US and the coalitions forces in present day Afghanistan is that of an 'occupying armies', then you are wrong. If instead you meant that some in Afghanistan, especially those folks under the thumb of Al-Qaeda, etc. consider the US, et al, to be 'occupying armies' then most likely you are correct. Regardless. If the US ultimately fails in Afghanistan, it yet again will be a failure of political will and _not_ a US Military failure. Obama is ready to lead the US to failure on this foreign front, just as he will do with domestic issues.
Keith, I have thought about that.
sorry, couldn't see it for looking at it.
