Ben Jealous and the NAACP is so full of crap

we could stand them in the fields to fertilize the crop:
When this statement was released it seemed very important , after all Ms. Sherrod was speaking at an NAACP function, and while Big Government only had access to the video they released, the NAACP had access to the entire video. Certainty they must have seen the entire video before they condemned Shirley Sherrod. Well Certainly not!

As soon as Ms Sherrod blasted the NAACP for not talking to her before bashing her the NAACP withdrew their statement. That’s when Ben Jealous then called Sherrod to find out her side of the story.

Following their conversation NAACP President Jealous released the following statement

“With regard to the initial media coverage of the resignation of USDA official Shirley Sherrod, we have come to the conclusion we were snookered by Fox News and Tea Party Activist Andrew Breitbart into believing she had harmed white farmers because of racial bias,” said Jealous. “Having reviewed the full tape, spoken to Ms. Sherrod, and most importantly heard the testimony of the white farmers mentioned in this story, we now believe the organization that edited the documents did so with the intention of deceiving millions of Americans.”

“The fact is Ms. Sherrod did help the white farmers mentioned in her speech,” he continued. “They personally credit her with helping to save their family farm.”

Snookered??? How could they be snookered, Shirley Sherrod spoke at an NAACP event. Mr. Jealous had access to the entire tape but he never bothered to look at it before he blasted Ms Sherrod.

Sorry Mr. Jealous, but you can’t be snookered when you hold all of the evidence. And you are still missing a major part of the video its not necessarily about Shirley Sherrod. Watch the video again, listen for the approval of the crowd as she talked disparagingly about the white farmer and how she sent him to one of his own for help. You see, Ms Sherrod’s story doesn’t change the fact that the NAACP audience seemed to have approved of her actions when she talked about not helping the white farmer.

That's what first struck me about this "We wuz robbed!" bullshit: She spoke at a NAACP event! THEY WERE THERE LISTENING and had the ENTIRE VIDEO; so how the hell could they be 'fooled' into not knowing what all she said?

And there's another slight problem: her talking about screwing over this farmer('sending him to one of his own kind', etc.) and the audience speaking approvingly; was THAT a 'We were fooled!" also, Jealous, you crooked bastard?

Alright I can't stand the redneck manipulative TParty and all of it's elements. You stand for Fiscal budgeting and freedom ? Ya, right. Lol

Breibart is a complete psychopath and deserves criminal prosecution along with all your other folly who supported this crap.

And ya, At least the NAACP aplologized. More than I can say for the right. No wonder most of the planet hates redneck Americans. Thank God I'm not one of you.

Hope you watched the white farmer who defended her , not an edited manipulated video taken out of context.

Shame on you. Proves Ben Jealous's point, you are toxic for everyone.

Yeah, see what you mean: wanting to .Gov to stop spending all our money and trying to control all our lives- yours included- makes us real puppet-masters, doesn't it?

Now there's real progressive idea! Somebody exposes hypocrisy and lies? Jail him! Can't let someone get away with that! If you let people do that, wherever will it end for organizations like the NAACP and the Journolist weenies who use lies and slander and hypocrisy at every turn?

Interesting apology, wasn't it? "We were spooked by part of a video that we own ALL of and it made us treat her badly; we blame Fox and the tea party!" Bullcrap piled on bullcrap. And guess what? We're glad you're not one of us, too. We've got quite enough liberal/progressive/socialist bedwetters of our own who think 'free speech' means "Only speech we agree with"; stay in whatever hole you live in and bitch about us. We don't care.

"An edited video taken out of context"... you mean the ONLY video Breitbart got? That he presented EXACTLY as he received it? That not only showed her demonstrating her racism but the approval of the crowd? I'm very glad she later decided she ought to treat all people equally(though I wonder how many people she screwed over before she got religion); that doesn't change the approval of the NAACP crowd to her original actions.

I'm not worried about your calls of 'shame', especially considering the bigotry and idiocy you show.

Oh, I do understand it's possible that you just meant "glad you're not one of us rednecks who likes the idea of freedom and equal treatment under the law" instead of "I'm from another country where we practice proper socialist idiocy"; in either case, screw you.

My error on a point: Breitbart apparently had the whole thing: his primary purpose was showing the approval of the NAACP crowd to the racist commentary, and he did. That was, from my understanding, the only editing done: showing one section instead of the whole.

come to my house and play.
I'll show you a whole new side of rednecks you never knew existed.

Did I miss something? Did Ben Jealous personally APOLOGIZE to Ms. Sherrod? How can he and the NAACP use the "snookered" defence while the President of the United States is the one to have to call and apologize on everyone else's behalf. Show some class, NAACP. You owe it to Ms Sherrod and the nation...
