Speaking of floods and arks and such,

here's the current situation in one part of northeast OK:
HULA LAKE IS TAKING IN 2X THE AMOUNT OF WATER IT IS LETTING OUT. THEFLOOD GATES ARE OPEN TO APPROXIMATELY 2.5 FEET (AMOUNT OF FLOW). THE LAKE IS AT APPROXIMATELY 106% CAPACITY AND INCREASING 1% PER HOUR.

COPAN DAM/LAKE IS AT CAPACITY AND CONTINUING TO RISE. THE FLOOD GATES ON COPAN WILL BE OPENED ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

BOTH COPAN AND DEWEY ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE CRITICAL FLOODING, AS WELL ASPOSSIBLY IN BARTLESVILLE. FLOOD STAGE IS AT 22 FEET. IF FLOOD STAGE (ONTHE CANEY RIVER) IS EXCEEDED, WASHINGTON COUNTY (BARTLESVILLE) MAY LOOSEIT'S 911/DISPATCH CENTER. ADDITIONALLY, BARTLESVILLE WILL BE CUT IN HALF.

And a little while later:
HULA LAKE IS CURRENTLY AT 108% AND TAKING IN 2X MORE THAN IT IS LETTING
OUT. THE CANEY RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CREST AT 22.8 FEET ON WEDNESDAY, IF
COPAN LAKE FLOOD GATES ARE NOT OPEN BEFORE THEN.

I'm really surprised we haven't lost a damn somewhere before now, considering the amount of rain the last month. Even if the rain stopped right now, runoff will continue for days; some of this flooding is going to be really nasty.
