hasn't already been cleaned up?
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) tells 7News Reporter Nick Minock that they are launching an investigation into claims that school staff arranged abortions for students and didn’t tell their parents.
This story has blown up on social media -- a report that says school officials at Fairfax County’s Centerville High School arranged and bankrolled abortions for girls without so much as a phone to their parents back in 2021.
The report says one of the two girls involved was 17 years old.
They're 'launching an investigation', which the past says means "We'll cover this up and make it go away as fast as we can." Which means there needs to be a criminal investigation by people they can't shut up.
Well, Virginia?

Northern Virginia, or as we non-Northern Virginians call "Occupied Territory" is a large Federal plantation full of Leftist government employed Deep State statists and socialists. It has been that way for decades. It is the marsh that hides the swamp. It is why Virginia no longer reliably votes and elects R. It is an embarrassment to the rest of the Commonwealth. It is the people referred to when the lyrics "Rich men north of Richmond" are sung.
Northern Virginia is more accurately described as South DC. Although there is a tiny minority there who will object when the organs of their hard left government do something downright evil, most of the voting residents there are true believers. So the hard left organs of government stay in power.
The State government has, over the course of the 30 years I've lived here, been basically coopted by the left.
Not through subterfuge or intrigue, but mainly because the Republican Party of Virginia is famously and insurmountably inept. Conservatives still vote Republican, but independents and moderates are rarely swayed by the horrible campaigns and terrible candidates that the Republican party puts up.
We have a Republican governor right now primarily due to the outrage of the rest of the state over the antics of the very school board to which this post is referring. Had it not been for that outrage prompting independents and moderates to vote R last time, Youngkin would not be in office. And, heck, all it took was for a boy in drag to rape a girl in the girl's bathroom, the school district covering it up, and then having the raped girl's father arrested for protesting at a school board meeting. Nothing big or anything.
But, at any rate, he inherited a legislature fully in Democrat control, rendering him essentially powerless over the makeup of the Fairfax county school board. Any actions he tried to take would be over-ridden by the legislature.
Which may not be a bad thing. Frankly, I hope the Fairfax school board keeps repeatedly doing very public stupid things, because continued outrage against them is the only way I see for Republicans to keep control of the Governorship.
If the outrage dies down, the Democrat will be elected easily, for the Trifecta in State Government. When that happens, Virginia will rapidly devolve into the California of the East Coast. Many conservatives will flee as quickly as possible...especially those of us who are not native to the state in the first place...and the outflow of conservative votes (along with some more creative redistricting) will guarantee the preeminence of the Democrats in Virginia for the foreseeable future.
In summary: don't expect it to get better in Virginia, it's only going to get worse. I hope I'm wrong. But I'm not.
Well to be fair most if not all of the "leaders" in the school system and school boards are leftists and refuse to follow any common sense law and or passed legislation that does not align with their views. And until they are all purged they will keep doing crap like this because they are "superior" to us. Bring back tar and feathering.
You ain't seen nothing, yet. I fully expect Spamburger to sweep the gubernatorial race this November and the democrats/communists will keep their majority in the state house and senate. The People's Democratic Republic of Virginia will emerge.
Moved to Va from NJ in 2018 I love it here in SWVa but after seeing Sears poll numbers I will be getting ready to move again with Tnn being at the top of the list. I got to talk to Spanburgers campaigners this weekend and it seems to me gun grabbing and publicly funded housing are at the top of their to do list.
