I'm not really worried about it; the tech has advanced a lot over time, to the point that it's an overnight stay in the hospital*.  It's the recovery time, and the PT, and then doing it all again for the other knee.  That's going to be a pain.

At least they should last about 20 years(average according to the orthopedist), and I can wait till the weather isn't alternately some what nice and bloody freezing.

The left loves racism, as long as they're running it

This year, the new segregation has extended itself into new domains: public education and public-health policy. In Denver, Centennial Elementary School launched a racially exclusive “Families of Color Playground Night” as part of its racial equity programming. In Chicago, Downers Grove South High School held a racially exclusive “Students of Color Field Trip” as part of its own equity initiatives. In the words of Denver Public Schools officials, the administrators implemented the segregated program to “create a space of belonging,” which, they said, without a hint of irony, is “about uniting us, not dividing us.”

The new segregation has also been implemented in public health-care systems, with state and federal agencies denying Covid vaccines and treatment to individuals based on race. This trend began last year, when Vermont provided the vaccine to all members of racial minorities over age 16 but denied it for whites without specific age or health conditions. Later, New York State, Minnesota, Utah, and the federal government adopted health policies that explicitly discriminate against whites, rationing Covid treatments based on race. (After public outcry, Minnesota recently backtracked on this policy, and Utah announced that it is “reevaluating” its policy, but both Utah’s and New York’s arrangements remain in place as of this writing.)
Both illegal as hell and immoral, and they know it, but they're doing it anyway.  It's going to take a bunch of people losing their ass in court to stop this garbage.  But they'll feel very virtuous about their PC racism.

for black powder.  I ran across it here, and it's worked well:
4 oz beeswax
2 oz neatsfoot oil(not compound)
2 oz Murphy's Oil Soap

Melt the beeswax in your favorite way
Stir in the neatsfoot, keep going till it's thoroughly mixed in
Stir in the Murphy's; it'll make the mess swell up a bit so make sure your pot/can/container has space.
That's it.  You can pour it straight into a lubrisizer, make your own sticks for later, or just keep it in something that'll keep it clean and melt down later for the sizer or for pan lubing.  It works quite well, and it seems to do a good job on the smokeless loads I've used it in as well.

sucks' things.  Yesterday the weather was pretty nice so I set things up and cast a bunch of bullets.  By evening that effort was telling me that either I need to find a more back-friendly posture, or work my way up to doing very many; no "Oh bleep!" level pain, just tired and stressed.
