I tend to agree, a bunch of Republicans are too chickenshit to stand up for much of anything,

except trying to keep themselves in that taxpayer-supplied office.

McNutt put it bluntly: “Republicans made a fatal miscalculation. They thought gun owners would settle for temporary NFA tax relief. No, they want freedom. And without Congress acting, gun owners are left to hope a future administration doesn’t flip the NFA taxes back to $200 — or even $2,000.”

Gun owners are watching. They’re angry. And they’re making it clear: Executive action is no substitute for legislative backbone.

Which the bastards don't have.

I don't know if it counts as 'fatal' right now, but I think it may get some of them primaried next election.

This current edition of the Iran/Contra ballyhoo, aka, Epstein files, what Epstein files? has pretty much given the evil party a lock on the mid- terms.

It will be exciting to watch how the stupids lie to cover lies going forward.

Or if not primaried, there may be a lot of gun owners who are willing to sit out the 2026 midterms. This is how you make conservative voters lukewarm about elections.

NFA was never about the tax; it was about the registration.

And I'm not seeing much reason to vote for the "R" side of the ticket, local, state or federal.

Don't Skip the mid terms. Go to vote and write in "Angry R. Voter". R is for Republican. That way they know you voted and lost your vote.

I might just do that. Voting "Mickey Mouse" doesn't send much of a message.

If we don't vote, we get whoever is chosen by someone else. They do not have our interests as their goals...
