Surplus shotguns to the CMP?

Some of them, at least.

    If they have Ithaca 37s or Winchester 1897s, those would be a find because they were slam fire. Hold the trigger down and cycle the pump action to fire a shot. These shotguns lacked a trigger disconnect and the slam fire feature was instrumental in stopping Bonsai charges but the Japanese in WWII.

    No, not because of not having a disconnect.
    Those shotguns have a secondary sear and trip lever just like an M14.

    On an Ithaca with the sporting hammer - truly no disconnect - the hammer will follow the bolt but not fire the shell.
