S&W 1854 Lever Rifle

They brought this out not long ago, and the S&W rep showed up with one for people to test fire.  Yes, I got five rounds.

There wasn't time for any in-depth study, I can tell you this:
Good rear aperture/gold bead front post.
Rail so you can put on a red dot or scope.
Smooth action.

Good trigger.

Threaded muzzle.
6.8 pounds.

Good recoil pad.
Only thing I'd add might be a saddle ring, that seems a great setup for some slings.
