I wonder if the cops doing this don't realize how stupid it is,

or just don't care?

This is also a demonstration that, if given orders to seize firearms, a lot of cops will do it: "We got orders" is all the excuse they need.

    Maybe most cops will smarten up after enough of them end up in body bags for "obeying" such orders. I for one will be dead before disarmed.

    Its one thing to have a cop ticket you for some stupid law, its another thing that crosses the line. Those cops will wind up wishing they had completed their wills and kissed their wife goodbye.
