I find myself lusting after a Trapdoor Springfield

in .50-70.

Part of me says "You don't need this."

The rest says "No, but I want it..."

And finding out Starline makes brass does not help the matter.

    Oldguns.net would be the place to check on that. They had some very nice trapdoors and Remington Rolling Blocks this morning.--Ray

    When you get it (and you know you will) try 36.5 grains of 3031 and a 405 grain bullet. That'll get you real close to a good load.
