Say what you will about S&W, their customer service

is pretty good. 

I checked everywhere I could think of, and searched around, and everyone is out-of-stock on what I needed.  So called S&W:
"Need a part for my pistol."
"What pistol?  What part?  What caliber?  What's your address?  It's in the mail."

Can't ask for better than that.

    Maybe that's why dealers don't stock the part; you can get it free with a phone call.

    Possibly. All the sites I checked, it was
    Out of stock
    or
    Out of stock, no backorder
    or
    Out of stock, backorder
    or
    Special order, allow 'X' days

    Apparently, from what I've read, they've got a new striker unit design/new steel, maybe it's because of the new design?
