I should note, had a chance to put a few rounds

through a .45-70 a couple of days ago.  I get one of these, there will be a recoil pad fitted.

    Limbsaver(tm) is your friend... for that and any shoulder-smacking caliber. Hell I have them on damn near everything I shoot - from AR platform to the various shotties, even modified the RPD and RPK to let me mount one.
