I'd started mixing some sourdough biscuits, and was about to pat the dough out when I realized I'd forgotten the baking powder. I said words.
Figuring had nothing to lose, patted it out, scattered all the baking powder on it, then proceeded to fold, pat out, fold, the way you would do standard biscuits. I think I folded it eight or nine times, then patted out, cut biscuits, worked the remainder back together and cut more till I'd used it all.
And it worked. They rose and browned just fine. That was a relief.
Just like making a Japanese sword.
