I find that if I just leave things lay in their natural environment I wind up losing a lot fewer of them. Hammer sitting on the workbench, battery charger still plugged in to the same two cords I always have to grab to reach my parking spot, etc.
It's when I think of 'the most logical, convenient spot' for something that I wind up having to buy a replacement tool/part. Since apparently my default 'most logical, convenient spot' is on the far side of Pluto.
I love it when a plan comes together.
