Went to a birthday party the other night, and one guest

was not one of the usual
Harris hawk.  Very friendly bird, a rescue found torn up after a fight with a bobcat.

Healed up nicely, they hunt with him regularly.

And yes, for anyone whiny, the falconer has her legalities all taken care of.

    What do they hunt with the hawk? Doves? Bandtail pigeons?

    Mostly rabbits and other ground critters.
