It shouldn't surprise me,

but in a way it does.
For the first time in 56 years, a newly-inaugurated president has not attended the ball begun by President Eisenhower. 14 presidents later, a snub.

Go check it out over there- FORTY-EIGHT MoH recipients were in attendance. People- that's HALF of the recipients that are still alive, and darn well nearly all that are physically able to attend events
.

According to http://www.defenselink.mil/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=24307 Obama in fact made the Salute To Heroes Ball his FIRST stop.

I'm not defending the guy - I hate his guts personally and I despise what he stands for.

But accuracy in reporting needs to be the watchword as we deal with the new administration - accuracy in both directions.

    stay safe.

OOPS! Forgive me, please. That was the previous inaguration.

Read too fast, did not pay attention.

    Obama is STILL a %*&*(^%.

I'm off to do serious penance.

    stay safe.
